a question from khanh

so khanh asked a great question the other day that some of you may be thinking yourselves. i thought i would post it here for the benefit of everyone.

he asked....

"Will we be doing mostly stills or will we be doing mix media? I have not edited videos in a while so I would try to do a little review and practice on video editing if we are going to be doing some video work."

and my answer to him was.....

"don't worry about learning things specifically for the workshop. trust me you will have plenty of help. just bring your gear and your willingness to learn while being sleep deprived. that's all you need."

while the workshop is a "shooting workshop" it is not the most important part by any means. you guys will get to hear some of the worlds top photographers speak every day. you will get to work along side some of those same photographers and some of the best editors in the world during our team sessions. shooting is only a small part of what will be doing. the entire point of the workshop is to learn and come out a better photographer and a better person. while we will have at least one person shooting video there will be a teacher there guiding you every step of the way. that also goes for the people only shooting stills. right now the only thing you guys should worry about is being excited that you were accepted, bringing the excitement to the barn everyday of the workshop, and getting as much sleep as you can before you get there because you will get none during the workshop. now if you want to teach yourself new skills, by all means DO IT!!! but don't feel like you have to learn new things before you get there. that is what the workshop is all about.

GO ORANGE!!!!!
